Nothing good happens to me.

your luck is about to change my friend.  maybe rangoon will be canned too.

h-twins are coming to MD and will be rocking nats caps when they make the announcement.

Well there is another meaningful reward for #1.  It would guarantee us home field advantage in NLCS (i.e. four possible home games as opposed to three).  If we're #2, we would not get home field unless the wild card winner knocks off #1.

I actually don't want to win the World Series this year. I'd always feel guilty about enjoying it after not watching 1 live second of the games.

I want the Nats to win the NL East. Everything beyond that is "short series luck"...but it would be a kick to win it all.

Watching games on ESPN.com boxscores is not fun. Just tune in so you won't miss the fun.

So do we sweep the Cards and take two of three from the Phillies, or two of three from the Cards and sweep the Phils?

Just win three more.

Win 2 of three from the cards and 2 of three from the Phils. Clinch on Sunday or Monday. The Braves will drop a game somewhere in between.

I'm hoping the unBraves will drop one this weekend and we get at least 2 out of the series with the Cards. Getting 2 of 3 from the Cards will not be easy.

That doesn't get us to 100.   Not that I care that much about 100, but that's what this thread is about.

To get to 100 we need to get 5 of 6. None of these remaining 6 games will be cake walks. The Cards series this weekend will be the more difficult of the two I think. Even though this thread is about getting to 100 wins, the bigger picture is insuring we get the NLEast title belt to avoid the dreaded one-and-done Play-In Wild Card game.

None of the Cardinal games will.  But if the Phillies are eliminated by the time we play them (likely), they'll roll over.

I doubt the Fillies will collapse. The core of the team is older, but they are tough...the sort that will want to beat the Nats whenever they can just to make a point.

Aren't the Cards a game away from clinching too? If so, gotta figure they'd take the foot off the pedal.

No, Cards are up three games on Dodgers, six to play.  So Cards  will be playing to win tonight at least. Then even if Dodgers lose tonight, Cards can't give up tomorrow unless Dodgers have already lost.  And assuming Dodgers win one of two, we can expect the Cards to play to win all three games.

Even the Phillies are still in, but they'd have to win all six and Cards lose all six, and then it would be a tie.  So ironically, we can take the Phillies out by losing tonight. If we didn't have anything at stake I'd be rooting for a loss.

I'll take the loss tonight because a) I would rather win the division at home and against the Phillies and b) we still need to lose two games on the Reds to get the Giants.

I would but my heart will probably give out before that. But I have tickets for Monday just in case.

Depend who won first, Cards or Marlins.  Marlins game started earlier, but Nats/Cards was decided by second inning.

100 is now simply a matter of winning the next two against the Cards.  Philly will roll over and we'll win those three.

You win the team you rooted for being worse than the people who voted Yes had hoped.
