Austin should have swung at the 3-0 pitch.  That was the pitch that could have advanced Church.

Yup - but you just don't see that very often - in fact, I think I've only seen it a couple of times all year ...

That first swing from Brian tells me this isn't going to end well.  >:(

Wasted leadoff double.

and Kearns' stupid *** costs us a run.. I am so sick of him swinging at balls thrown right at him and rolling over them to the left side.  Schneider has been pretty terrible lately as well

When your team struggles with hitting as much as this one does, you have to do what you can to manufacture runs.  You have to assume that a 3-0 is going to be a hittable strike that can advance the runner to third.

And you certainly can't assume that at 3-1, you're going to get a better pitch to hit.

Safe assumption - though - you could also assume that 3 straight balls would also yield a 4th ...

what the hell was that... no excuse at all. what did Schneider tell Redding, "throw it belt high over the inner half right where he likes it"?

whew, Redding is so awful.  Him and Simontacchi have to go sooner rather than later.  alright, bats time to wake up against a bad pitcher.
