Most MLB records can be found in Records page on the Baseball Almanac at http://baseball-almanac.com/rb_menu.shtml.
There is no information for rookies and the Cycle.
I don't know if Ryan would be the first rookie ever to do it.

Most RBIs in a game = 12:
Jim Bottomley,  St. Louis, 09-16-1924
Mark Whiten, St. Louis, 09-07-1993

Ryan Z needs 7 more to tie it...

An older Rookie of the Year history page (1999) is at:
http://www.findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m0FCI/is_12_59/ai_67045357
The top NL RBI noted was 92 RBIs by Phillies' Scott Rolen in 1997 and
144 by AL's Walt Dropo, Red Sox in 1950.
If you look at the list, Zimmerman is already ahead of many ROY's full year RBI total.

Good find!  I was looking up the records when you posted.
Zim's Web Gems keep adding up.  You don't have to be a Nationals fan at this point to see Zimmerman is running away with R.O.Y.

I completely agree. About 2 months ago they talked about Zimmerman like he was just a decent runner up to uggla, fielder, and barfield but i think all that has changed by now.

He's not horrible, but he'd rarely play if Escobar stayed healthy.  Kearns does not miss a lot of games.  They do kind of like to go to Church on Sundays...

church is being given a chance right now to deliver.  he needs to make the most of it.

on that note ... i want 34 runs tonight.

No comments on the new Zimmerman sig?

Can you design one for Guillen? It may make him feel like he is a true power hitter.

this ump is unbelievable. if that was a strike for the phillies it should be a strike for the nats. having said that, i seriously dislike armas and his fear of the strike zone.
