GOOD BYE.  Hanson isn't long for this game.

His PC is 58.

60, actually, after 3.

I love runs, but I hate to point out that this is the same old Nats...  only scoring on sacrifices and dingers.

And doubles.

FP was not happy with that Ankiel Home Run. He'd have preferred a 20 hop single through the right side so Zimmerman could go 1st-3rd.

Not convinced yet, huh? Maybe we'll have to give them a few more games.

Yeah, no triples.

Um, no.  Nobody has driven in a run on a single, triple, OR double.  All scoring has been on sacrifices and Ankiel's homer...

First game of the season, he'll probably get around 90 pitches unless they get some more runs.  Lannan is at 43.

Oh, okay.  Sorry that I'm concerned about the team's potential?

So 60 pitches from Hanson in three innings. Nice.

A run per inning. I'll take that. The "same old Nats," to me, wouldn't have scored there because that double wouldn't have happened from our #2 hitter.

Lannan pitched Heyward well that time.  Kept the ball inside and mostly down.

Happy to see that the Nats are kicking so much ass.  This Jayson Werth guy is pretty good huh?

You're entitled to your opinion, I'm just stating what I've observed so far.

Coming out of an offseason where you heard so many conflicting goals, few of them realized, it's hard to be a believer. I mean, what is the approach exactly? Maybe Sunshine Boswell had it right (from Rizzo's mouth). It does seem like they are driving up pitch counts, trying to get to the pen, then maybe counting on a couple of long balls a game.

And... Lannan is getting hit pretty hard.

Oh, okay.  Sorry that I'm concerned about the team's potential?
