WTF are you smoking?  Werth has much better batting eye.  Compare their career walk rates.

Werth has a huge advantage in plate discipline AND power.

Compare their career K rates (Werth 29.4%, Crawford 15.1%).

Compare their career SLG (Werth .471, Crawford .440).  Werth has an advantage, not a huge one.

Career BB/K rate is .64 for Crawford, .63 for Werth.  Crawford is the better speed guy, Werth the better HR guy.  WAR numbers are a toss up.  Crawford is 2+ years younger and healthier (6 of 7 years since his rookie season with 600+ PAs compared to 1 year over 500 PAs for Werth).

Compare their career K rates.

And their career BB/K rates?  Werth wins.

I was wondering if it was an anit anti-immigration thing...

bacsik said terribly racist stuff about Spurs fans and got suspended from his radio gig.

Man, if he hadn't missed that time, with the way he's swinging he could've been in the MVP discussion early on.

Overall value, I'd say they're pretty even. But Werth knows this division's pitchers.

True, and RF is a bigger need for us.  I think everything fits for Werth, but Crawford is a better player coming from a much better league/division.

re: Crawford vs. Werth ... I'd obviously take either of them.  Werth has the experience playing RF, but we would make something work with either one of them here.

How is Crawford's arm?  That's a big difference maker IMO.

Of course Coghlan starts off really well against Olsen. :hang:

WTF, he's a lefty and he's hitting below the mendoza line.

I'd take Werth because it would be a shorter term deal and it makes the Nats the favorites in the division in 2 years.

Toss up.  Crawford hasn't played RF yet but he does pick up a lot of outfield assists, as does Werth, so I'd call that one even.  I'd say the younger, healthier player is the better player, especially when the numbers are fairly even, and I would still take Werth due to his familiarity with RF, his probable desire to stick it to the Philthies, and I remember seeing him coming up in the Blo's system as a catcher way back when.
