Billingsley gave up 9 runs in 3.1 IP in his last start vs Houston.

Thanks for the start-up DPM.    This one couldn't start early enough.

Especially after MDS mailed in yesterday's.

That was bad form.    Then to top it off, he goes SSS on us.

If he doesn't hit for the cycle, he is total failure. ;)

Would rather watch Harper do that than Nady or Bernie.

What a day of anticipation today is:

Capitals on @ 3:00 p.m. with a feeling of optimism
Nats on @ 9:00 p.m. with Strasburg on the mound and Harper in the line-up
RGIII, our franchise quarterback, in the audience like the rest of us

First at-bat, maybe.

Or the AB after his first HR.

First at-bat, maybe.

If the third baseman is backed up, I would love to see him do that rather than strikeout swinging for the fences.

He's going to come up with the bases juiced and on the first ever MLB pitch he sees, he's going to hit a grand slam. :mg:

I feel good about this game. Anything can happen of course but with Stras and Harper (even if he doesn't play well) in the lineup I feel like the team will be sparked to success.

I'm sort of surprised by the lack of hype around Harper's debut.

Probably due to the fact that he wasn't tearing up AAA and has some obvious holes/it's not a home game.

Listening to WTOP's sports this AM, I think RG3 was the lead, which flowed right into Harper and baseball scores.  The close was the Caps, and they did not even say what time the Caps game would be.

Don't worry. He's always one Marlins' three-game win streak from jumping off the bandwagon.

Now MDS is speaking of himself in the 3rd person.   :)   At least you're not on the Ricky Henderson train.
