could be a bblessing in disguise. Maybe it'll take enuff time, that the marlins closer isn't loose anymore and the Nats hitter take advantage.

I got a feeling this is it for the game...and 20 has repeated this MASH episode 3 times now tonight :bang:

Might as well hook up a sandwich while the game is on hold.

Wow, this would blow big time. Following the game since 7 pm, and it ends in the middle of the 9th @ 1 am.

I'm trying not to be too extreme about this but was a terribly managed game for Manny.  I don't want to say he should be fired but he should at least be docked some pay!

Late in a rain-delayed game, where the weather is still sketchy, with a team that has "trouble" scoring runs, one run down, with a runner on 1st and no outs, the manager's call should be obvious.  Not losing is just as important as winning!

I totally agree with you PC, except about docking his pay.

I went to the game last year against the phillies that began at 11:30. I left my house at 11, when I learned the game would be played, wathced the Nats knock the phillies out of the playoffs and was home by 2:30.

:? It would be something to remember, especially if we were to come back and win the game, say in the 14th inning, but I doubt they would play that long. They would suspend play at some point.

We may set a record for the longest gamethread if we stayed all the way though.

Edit: Actually the few of us here could never set that record because we'd have a long way to go for that.

I guess they'll try to force it now that they've gone this far.
