Hmmm, to each his own of course, but I tried the shandy on Saturday, and thought it was awful. Very artificially sweet. I'll stick with the coors light!
Im a Coors Light guy myself...but I thought I would try something different because its all 9.00 anyways for a tall. I ended up liking it.

I will drink pretty much anything that isn't "college cheap beer" and it surprised me. Maybe it was just that one I had but the next game I go to im going to try it again and see if it ends up being as good as I remembered.

Yep, my ticket partner bought me one because it had the shortest line, but it was one of the worst beers I've ever had.

You do know that a shandygaff is a beer mixed with lemonade, ginger beer, or cider right? Granted that one is a pretty crappy example, try Ria Ria for some decent ones. If you want a great one make it from carbonated lemonaide and an Irish beer.

Shandy is the perfect ballpark beer for me.  It screams summertime.

Can the team work with Verizon to get a tower put in at the ballpark?  How about turning the foul poles into giant antennas?  Cell phone reception tonight was as crappy as could be.

It worked fine for us - both in the Red Porch and section 117.  Where were you trying it ?

Going to the game tomorrow. Seats are in section 222.

Anyone sit in that area of the park? Are they good seats? Good view?

Decent but somewhat variable. When the sun hits you, it gets hot. At the price point, one of the better choices.

Definitely one of the better values for an inexpensive ticket.  I sit there often (partial plan) and I have no complaints.

129

Yeah, I'm in 129 as well, and there is next to no cell phone coverage OR wifi. It's like likes dead zone. I was talking with the STh next to me, who also had problems and said if you go two sections over or way, way back, cell phones and wifi work fine. I literally could not get a wifi connection tonight. I dunno if it has something to do with being right over the dugout/they are jamming so players can't use, or there's some strong signal being sent out in the dugout on the same frequency as cell phone and wifi. Like, for example, if the line to the bullpen is wireless and it's a massively strong signal degrading our cell phone and wifi frequencies. Whatever the deal is, it is a problem, it's a problem every night, and it's confined to 128/129/130. Since that's all the sections behind the dugout, I have to believe there is a connection... To our not getting a connection.

So what happens to the Zimmerman jerseys that they were supposed to give away today?  And for that matter, is Screech's birthday party going to be rescheduled?

Didn't look during last game I was at, is the renovation of the main team store at the CF gate done yet?

All I've seen is that it's supposed to be done in May.

Guaranteed that it'll be up for business and selling Philly hats and shirts by the next home stand.

With a drop box for us to sell our "take back the park" tickets direct to a Philly tour bus operator, no doubt!

i'm guessing Philly fans won't be as excited about visiting here this year as they were in previous years.

That the store will be open or that they will be selling Philly gear?

Charlie and Dave said that in order to get the promotional drawstring backpack next Thursday (first 30,00 fans), you must enter through the CF gate.  I normally like to enter through another gate to get promotional items - I hope this is a one-time-only deal.

They are giving away 20,000 of them and given our recent attendance for weeknight games I doubt if you will have a problem getting a backpack.  I'll agree though that hopefully this is not the start of a new policy.

As for the backpack itself, I've got a bunch of backs and packs with Nats logos from previous years but I'm passing on this one, I really don't need a back with the MLB logo instead of a curly W.

I wonder what they've done with the Team Store that took so long. I thought it was pretty nice as it was.

They used the same contractor that issues the RCR cards
