The answer's pretty obvious.  You need to keep the team in the game through the beer sale period.

what the hell is he doing? over managing

One freaking game and you're already on his case.  :bang:  That only confirms what we already knew though.  :?

This has to be the end of Julian Tavarez.  That's a good thing, at least.

he's used 3 freaking pitchers in one inning. If he had just brought in Burnett or Clippard to start the inning the score would be 3-1 and we would have only used 1 pitcher.

Rigglemann looks pro-active, more than Acta, but looks stubborn too. No reason to start freaking Josh Bard ever again. Nieves with a 4 hit game and gets benched. Bard with passed ball after passed ball.

Why in the bleeping freak is Josh Bard still getting starts? Worst defensive catcher I've ever seen.

We have another game tomorrow.
Also, I'm sure you remember BeerTruck... and The Crying Game.. catcher/cancer replaced in the middle of an inning:

Dude if he had left one of those bums in there for one more batter you would be nagging about that too. Of course you're a better manager but that's because you get to manage in hindsight.

Ugh, I don't think my favorite pitcher will be around to pitch another game :(

no it's not. who are they going to bring up to replace him?

Logan Kensing (4.07 ERA)
Zechry Zinicola (6.23 ERA)
Saul Rivera (2.62 ERA)
Andrew Kown (5.63 ERA)
Dave Williams (2.61 ERA)
Zach Segovia (0.00 ERA)

Zinicola is the the only one there that is even remotely intriguing but he got rocked tonight and needs to spend at least the next few months in AAA.

no I'm not. you would never see me put Julian Tavarez in a close game in the late innings. Would have gone to Burnett or Clippard to start the 9th.

At least T-Clip went two hitters and got two outs.

Plusses for actually throwing first pitch strikes.

Julian hasn't pitched in awhile, maybe just a little rusty?

Ok even I don't buy that.

nice HR, Z-pack

Makes up for the error. too bad the pitching fell apart and we only scored 2 runs in total.

I think (or hope) that Rigglemann is going to give him a fair shake to prove that he can pitch in close games.

By a show of hands, who here believes that if Dunn had hit that same jack sportsfan would rip him for hitting a meaningless bomb in a blowout loss?

Zim-with-1-N homers with nobody on.
Too little, too late, after he lost the game for the team, with a lack of leadership on routine throw.

No it doesn't.  Of course, having Julian Tavarez in the intervention doesn't help.
