Alberto Gonzalez 0-4. Not shocking that he sucks. Too bad Rizzo and Riggleman don't see it.

Speaking of base hitting machines, WEHT Rick Short?  Is he still in Japan?

Plays for the Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles of Japan. He is a bit of a sports celeb over there from what I read. They like him.

Call up ID to play alongside RZ for the rest of the season.

I sure am glad I got home early enough to see this !   It was much better when they were losing after 10 PM and I was in bed.

Just to throw some logs on the fire:

The offense has scored 5 or more runs in 56 games this season.

The offense has scored 4 or more runs in 75 games this season.

Draw your own conclusions.

The Nats score 4 runs more often than they score 5?

The offense has scored exactly 5 runs 19 times this season.

I don't know what the hell either of you are getting at besides trying to be cute, but "or more" is clearly stated in both sentences.

My mistake, 5 or more in 57 games, not 56.

I like that building they have out in left field. That's pretty neat looking.

and how many games with less than 4 runs?

this team is too streaky to be good. they waste runs and win a bunch of games 13-1 and scores like that but then they will go weeks at a time without scoring more than 3 or 4 runs consistently.

I can't believe people are even defending the offense. Just horrific.

I wasn't trying to be cute, just doing a little math.  I LOVE THE MATH!

...and I didn't really get your point.

Does BC seriously think Kouzmanoff should get a gold glove over Zim? No way.

I think it was a set-up question.   The stats were too quick.

why didn't Adam Dunn get the day off today along with Dukes and Willingham?

You and SF both have the same strain of deliberate obtuseness, I'm convinced.

SF, since you apparently count for yourself, 3 or fewer runs in 58 games.

PC, the point was to put some hard data out there for the purpose of furthering the discussion of the team's offense.

Not everyone's post is loaded.

With this lineup, they could have put me in there at first and the score would have been the same.
