Does Clippard get arbitration this year? I think so. If so... he's going to get a bundle of  :$$$: :$$$: :$$$:

No he doesn't. He didn't even enter this year with 1 year of service time. Plus, I heard him mention in a radio interview that he is arbitration eligible after next season.

This is so bad.  The Phillies have a lineup that shows they don't care if they win this game and we've scored one run!

Clippard is about to be at 89.2 IP for the season. Good job preserving his arm Jim.

Why did Riggleman get ejected?

A pitch right down the plate... he randomly starts yelling and gets ejected.

It was weird.

Our offensive performance this game has been absolutely pathetic.

with a little hair dye and Tiger Woods could come a callin'

Oh pleez ... we're talkin' G'town Mr. Smiths.    We don't need no stinkin' hair dye.

I wonder if the Nats know that the Phillies aren't even sending out their better relievers.  Also P.S. this is what the team would look like with only one elite hitter (i.e. if we lose Willingham and Dunn).  Front office, take note.

Rick Eckstein and his hitting methods have to be questioned.

The previous few games we scored plenty of runs.  Overall in most defensive statistics we are a little below average.  The only thing I really take an issue with is that our hitters aren't the most patient out there, but otherwise I have to imagine they are maximizing their talents.  These aren't exactly the historically awful 2010 Mariners we're talking about here (that is a great article BTW).

By definition, it can't be the worst ALL THE TIME but why does it so frequently feel like it?

If Philly scores a run, do they get to walk off?

Serious question ... Are ya sayin' they have little talent?

How can this team lose this game?  This like I-A vs. I-AA before I-AA teams got good.

How about, before scholarship limits.
