I'm on the verge of being really pissed at tim redding.

run support is a VERY RARE LUXURY with this team, you simply cannot waste an 8-run offensive game like this.

I meant about the team in general and some specific players. I have 't had my hopes up for Dukes at all this season but I can see why he is spoken of as possessing such a high ceiling. He definitely has skills, tools and intangibles. He has been looking more locked in as of late and hopefully it's just a matter of time before we hand him a spot and not worry about it anymore.

This is precisely why I hate hearing all this praise for Redding. He falls apart and looks horrible. Guzman should be our AS representative.

Is it just me or does it sound at times as if Bob Carpenter is inwardly pulling for the Cardinals?

I agree.  Redding is nothing more than a stop gap. While Guzzie is having a good year, Rauch should unquestionably be our All Star.

I have a hunch.

LOL  I bet Hanley Ramirez would be great in the Mexican League :?

So Redding wants to be an "ace" but he routinely can't get past the 6th inning.

Well at least Redding picked a night when we had run support. If not, this would have been pathetic.

I don't see how Rauch gets the nod over Guzman, with the season Guzman is having.

but I could be convinced.

Yeah I forgot about Rauch and I agree. He deserves to represent the Nats over anyone on the team but Guzman has been our best offensive weapon so far.

His fielding has impressed me the most. He gets a good jump on the ball, has good closing speed, he doesn't freak out, and he has a strong, accurate arm. Great combo.

Ugh.  I just came down to hear a relief pitcher get a homer in his first ML AB.

Not really. This is a game I thought we had in the bag until Redding decided to drop a load of feces on the mound.

Makes sense though, doesn't it? It's odd how this is how it always goes. Good pitching, poor offense. Good offense, poor pitching.

Back to that brawl, had Shields' bomb landed Crisp may have been KO'd right there on the mound and lived to regret having charged him, especially with footage to memorialize the damage.

I have to watch it. This is the best Finals match-up we've had in a long time.

Oh yeah. Crisp would've been laid out.
