Stupid move.  Instead of having an effective pitcher sacrafice he sends up a valuable pinch hitter and calls for a hit and run with the slowest person on the team on third base.  So now Careseco is out of the game and there are two outs.   Nice move.

Very accurate summary.   :?

This is exactly why his peers voted Robinson the worst manager in baseball.

Hey we're still only down by 2 runs.  This game could turn around real quick!   8)

Hmm...I think I need to not watch this game.  My logic is as follows: when I left during the Mutts game, it was 8-0.  The next time I turned it on, it was 8-6.  I immediately turned it off again, not wanting to be disappointed.  The next time I checked, it was 8-8, and I said "screw it, I'm gonna watch."

We promptly lost.

Therefore, maybe if I go listen to The Fall or read a book or something, we'll roar back and actually GO AHEAD.

I hate to threadjack, but...

Another Fall fan!  Nice!

Unfortunately, we're going to have to overcome our manager.  Last inning was the perfect chance to get some runs.

And it's 1-2-3 with our #2, #3 and #4 hitters.

I have the sinking feeling that the 5th inning is going to have been the turning point in this game.

note from the chief: i know it's frustrating to be losing to a team like the reds, but there's no need to be rude to your fellow forum members.  Sens2k5 didn't mean any disrespect towards you, so there's no need to show any towards him, thanks.

And I came to this board to get away from this kind of crap you find at the MLB board.  Jerspos, we don't need that here, ok?

This is so deflating.  Why can other teams hit at RFK, but we are hopeless?  I was really thinking that we were going to make up some groudn in this series.  Now we are just left with another night of hoping everybody else loses.

The RFK magic is long gone.  What happened to it?

And it's another squandered opportunity.  The Braves and the Marlins are losing.
