The radio broadcast is much further ahead of the tv, probably between 5 and 10 seconds.

5 second delay for tv, and HD is delayed from SD for some reason.

Dunn?  Why not Desmond or Zim?  they hit with him in scoring position too.

Well, Desmond moved him over and Zim had a great at-bat with two outs. Dunn just had to loft the ball to get the sac fly.

But you're right, it's a team game.

Ok, I'll give it to Desmond for moving the guy over.  But either Dunn or Zim were able to get him in.  Don't put it all on Dunn.

1st   P Polanco hit sacrifice fly to center, J Rollins scored.

Nationals  0
Phillies      1

Desmond got the runner over (and was safe) ... zimmerman had a good at bat, has been fine recently and had 2 outs ... Dunn needs to get that run in.

Wow, did they really? I missed most of the game last night.

I mean, I guess I shouldn't be surprised but whatever.
I butchered the English language in that previous post, for that I apologize.

They did in fact cheer when Strasburg was pulled out. These are the same fans who threw snowballs at Santa Claus, so I really shouldn't be surprised. No wonder Veterans Stadium was the only ML stadium to have a full jail on its premises.

great AB? A strikeout, leaving a runner at third and the at bat wasn't longer than 7 pitches?
Modify- 8 pitches(didn't count the check swing for the K)

Bernie is a hell of a base stealer because he doesn't get caught.

So, shouldn't he take more heat if he's been on a roll and still wasn't able to get the job done?

We can't drive in runs today.  It's like Tim Hudson is on the mound.   >:(

I take it you didn't watch the first game of this series?

I was here at the time. He was facing Doc Halladay...sometimes people expect way too much. Even the best hitters make an out 7 out of every 10 at bats.

But it would have been nice if he could have gotten one hit in any of the first THREE times he was up to bat.  Hell, Halladay gave up 8 hits so he certainly wasn't unhittable.

Olsen is pitching batting practice, Marquis (before two days ago) style.

I'm not saying that but will cut him some slack bc he has been good recently and percentage of getting that run in with 2 outs is lower.

I said the same thing Friday when desmond didn't get a run in with 0 outs and when bernie gidp.  Plus dunn has been awful recently.

Of course it would have been nice. It's not like he was swinging at junk or watching meatballs go by him.

I'm listening to the radio broadcast and they're talking about Strasburg at the hotel last night and that you wouldn't have known that anything had happened during the game from how he looked.

I find it so odd that the broadcasters (tv too, Bob and Rob) have such an "intimate" relationship with the players.  Why in the world do the broadcasters have to travel and stay with the team?

...other than that it's cheaper...

Aren't they paid by the team? Are you going to stick the broadcasters at a Motel 6 while the players stay at the Hyatt?
