It really looked to me like he stutter stepped and hit the plate.

I don't think so, you could see dirt between his foot and home plate on every shot I saw.

Hopefully they'll see it in the truck and show it to us again.

I don't think the home plate umpire called anything.  If he hadn't gone back, nothing might have happened, ie the run scored.

Nah... Nyjer just tried to plow the catcher for no reason.

I don't get it.

As spinman and I already mentioned, Nyjer was steaming mad after the Desmond bunt thing.  I think he was just looking to hit somebody.  You know, the old hockey instinct.

They did in slow-mo. He missed by nearly a foot.

He went out of his way to hit the catcher when he could have scored easily.

I don't get it.

Guys, he never came close to touching home plate.

I think you're right. I just went back and checked. I still the home plate umpire is sleeping through this one.

He was touched by Pudge, who redirected Morgan back to touch home again.  It's an immediate out if a baserunner is touched by a teammate.  However, he many have touched home plate already, and should have thus already scored.
So, if the guys touch the runner on a walk off homerun before he touches home plate he is out?
It sure seems like they all touch the runner before he touches home on a walk off.

MASN.  I get that as long as they're not playing the Fish or the Rays.

When a ball leaves the field on a home run, is it still considered a live ball?  If it's not, it's a different situation.  The deal here was that it was still a live play.

LaRussa keeping MacDougal in the game means he's already planning for Wainwright tomorrow.
