If I did that all those inventory items would try to jump back aboard the next day. 
Oh, they will. There are some days I run and I unload so much that there are portions of the run I don't remember. I get back to the house and wonder if I ran my whole route. I asked my wife one day how did I cope before I started running? She said, "You drank a lot." I still drink but not as much.
