I knew that was going to happen. Morse swinging at a terrible pitch.

Dickey cruising.

Zimmerman should have been pinch hit for.

ball 4,

Morse has looked like crap tonight

Bad luck?  Maybe, but I don't know why he swung at that crap.

Dickey hasn't had to work since the first inning. Beat him early or don't beat him at all.

Three quick outs after LaRoche draws a walk. Pitiful.

In 18 of his starts he has gone at least 7 innings.  :?

Thanks for the straight answer :)
Dickey can pitch a lot of innings. Knuckle balls don;t take a lot out of an arm.
True.

There are more egregious things happening while you're away. You're just choosing to turn a blind eye to them.

Whatever - if you want to smoke crack that is your choice.

Now only 3. And we aren't even going to get to their bullpen. We needed to score that second run vs Dickey in the first but LaRoche and Morse choked.

Throw some challenges at him in left field and things won't go our way.

Not the best game Morse has played.

Gotta say, though, that clapping was killing me. Strange acoustics. The usher could have said "c'mon kid, you and Mom are moving down."

Gorzelanny, that's the ticket

Terrible outing from Zimmermann tonight. Too many long ABs/walks and he wilted in the 5th inning like usual.

Awful throw, just looks so mechanical. Why doesn't he just whip it over and throw it naturally?

Not only has Zim been bad at hitting with RISP tonight, but just gives away an easy out.

Your saying the Nats can't come back from a 1 run lead?

LaRoche and Morse didn't choke: they're trying to hit a knuckleballer having an outlandish season.

You're just a huge pile of emoting. It's hard to take.

How does Gorzelanny only have a 3.09 ERA?  Are the majority of runs he gives up earned to the pitcher he is bailing out in certain innings ala Doug Slaten?

He was spotted a lead against Cy Young candidate Dickey and couldn't hold it. And he couldn't even go 6 innings. Discouraging. At least we don't have to worry about him facing the Braves in that pressure environment this weekend.
