Still can't believe Davey took out Flores earlier. Cost us several times

Morse cannot make the throws from Right Field for putouts.
Werth would be helpful.

So, double header tomorrow?  Lovely.

Yeah, should be fun. Lannan and Edwin will both go 7 innings and give up 10 runs

I'm shocked at how bad our pitching staff has gotten since that series at Coors.  They haven't fallen off a cliff yet but dangerously close.

Each, we'll easily give up 20 runs (total) in the games tomorrow.

Morse is just plain plodding in the field, he's really a first baseman

Really dude?  Flores is just as bad.

I don't trust the pitching anymore.  If this team supposedly goes to the playoffs, they have no hope to stand on that stage.  They don't have the confidence to make big pitches.  I bet we see something about Burnett's elbow, Storen being rusty, Clippard's shoulder just anything to make an excuse other than can't make pitches.

Our relief pitching has really, really gone down hill lately. Whats up with that?
They've been pitching way over their heads all year; I've been wondering when they were going to regress.  Of course, you don't need advanced stats to realize that Clippard, Stammen, Gorzelanny, and Burnett all having sub-2 ERAs was flukey.

This part is just an overreaction to a couple of bad performances, though.  Nats starting pitching has been great all year.

Maybe, I just think they are all coming back down to earth after a hot first half.

If they don't get it in gear it's going to be a maddening second half.

Desmond's last few ABs have been dreadful. He's striking out looking a lot like early in the season

I've never thought this before...well not this season, at least, but I fully expect the Braves to sweep this series.  I can't imagine a scenario where they win a game, after this full on choke job.

Has been. Past tense. In fact, I would say it was pitching above itself. Gio stinks in the second half, Strasburg is clearly tired, Jackson is coming back down to earth, and Clippard is showing that relievers have a short lifespan

You said it yourself, there is regression.  The bullpen AND starters have regressed.  The team was never built to win 90 games.  Fans knew this going in.  It has been fun to watch the team over-achieve but honestly there was so much hope and the regression didn't look like it was coming.  Now just as the bats are heating up, the pitching can't hold up.
