It's raining in SF right now so Kilgore said we might see a long delay.

If it were the Phillies, they would just tack on another game at CBP.

Wow, that's interesting.  Switching Dunn and Zimmerman in the lineup, and Maxwell leaing off.  Lots of odditities.

The lineup is so bad I saw Gonalez, thought of Wiki Gonzalez, and wondered why there were two catchers there.

Wiki is better than our Gonzalez.

Looks like Riggs is setting up to have Stammen take the fall when Stras gets caled up.   :?

I would never accuse a manager of setting up a player to fail... but with that lineup... it almost looks that way.

I litterally let out a muffled chuckle when I saw that lineup.

They're professionals and you have to believe a manager would never pull that.  I guess we'll just have to look at the lineups for Atilano's and Stammen's next starts.

The strangest part about the lineup is the lack of left handers. Although Zito, himself, is a left hander, he fares better against RHB than he does against LHB.

Career lines:

vs. RHB - .237/.314/.373/.687
vs. LHB - .244/.334/.373/.707

Gonzalez has been solid for us this season. Outside of Maldonado, who I know nothing about, I don't mind that lineup at all.

Why would our lineup have anything to do with a decision on whether or not Stammen takes the fall for Strasburg's callup?

"Sorry Craig, hate to do this to you, but you know how it is.  Zimm, Dunn, Guzzy, just didn't get the job done yesterday, so we're sending you down".

I find it hard to believe that any regulars here would be foolish enough to think that Stammen is being judged solely on decisions.

Is it raining in San Fran? Is this game still set to start at 3:45?

Looks like the rain is currently just south of AT&T Park.  But there's another cell building just off shore and surely will be moving over the city before too much longer.

I never realized this about Alberto Gonzalez.  I knew he did ok vs. lefties.  Peep this out for his career:

.345/.392/.478 in 126 PAs.  I don't think we should be upset about him starting.

Minty is smoking something because this guy has been cash money off the bench this year.
