No.

But purchasing a Madden game makes you a little naive. Shoulda bought 2010 used and downloaded rosters. I love how EA refuses to develop that game. Can't wait till their license runs out.

Naive would be true if I didn't know I was getting myself into. I only buy the new one every couple of years.

Don't hold your breath. EA and the NFL are happy with the arrangement.

That's never going to happen.

Madden 13 looks cool.
 It's the same game as last year. And the year before that.

Not if you play online in leagues. Online Franchise play is why I go back to it year after year. Finally, though, they're making online an exact clone of the offline franchise. So now we people online get scouts, salaries, etc etc.

MW and MW2 were better ... plus BO was better as well.

I never tried Black Ops but MW3 is way better than the first two MW's.

HATER.

I spent 4.5 hrs last night playing Madden 12... well sorta. I simmed the 2011 season and then used my imported draft class plus controlling all 32 teams, I made the majority of FA moves and drafted everyone to the team they belong to. Hell, I even made sure the top 2 picks were in teh correct order just because I could.

I preordered the new Madden, but does all that work make me a dork?

Not as big a dork as me.  I kick all 32 teams out of the league and create my own teams, make my team with all the guys I used to play ball with and then go up against other fake players.

I WAY out-dork you.

I did that back in 2003 when i played freshman ball. I remember a lot of people were actually intrigued by their stats.

well...there goes my gaming productivity.

http://reviews.cnet.com/8301-33199_7-57492841-221/ps3-gets-new-youtube-app-controllable-via-smartphones/

Quote
The PS3 has a solid collection of streaming-video apps, but the lack of a dedicated YouTube app has always been a conspicuous omission.

That ends today, with Sony and Google rolling out a new YouTube app for the PlayStation 3. The new app features a big-screen-friendly layout with controls optimized for the PS3's controller. You'll be able to log in to your YouTube account, giving you access to your subscribed channels and other YouTube community features.
There's also an option to use your smartphone as as a controller for the app, letting you take a video you're watching on your phone and "push" it up to your HDTV.

hey, any of you PS3 folks mess around in Home?

There was a nice set-up for E3 in there where you could see all the game videos and livestream the sony press conferences and such, and apparently there is one for Gamescom as well.

gonna check that out.

also there are some pretty nice casual games inside of Home too. There is a casino, a couple of shooters, and supposedly a MMORPG coming soon. they had a demo of the MMO during E3 in Home.

I messed around with Home when it first started, but not since. Maybe I'll give it a look again some day.

I went to the Sportswalk in Home and played Poker for a little bit.

They did a complete redesign of Home a while ago,and while it is much better and pretty enjoyable, it is still not scratching the surface of its potential.

Is it still like Second Life?

Played the Madden 13 demo. Love it! Looks like the new Combined Career mode will be pretty cool. Can't wait to buy it!

The gameplay is pretty much the same as past years except for the physics engine and how you can have different pass trajectories.

The Connected Career mode is amazing from the sound of it.

I'm not getting Madden this year. I'm done with Evil Arts and their stupid monopoly that allows them to do nothing to actually improve the game from year to year and still rake in the money.

It looks like they put some serious effort into Madden. It was just the demo mind you, but I'm really hopeful.
