We have the Lake (Braddock) effect to worry about.
... combined with Lake Barcroft and Lake Fairfax it creates a vortex of updrafts that causes the upper thermals to cool creating a "wintry mix".
Quite right. lets see those wusses in Buffalo top that!
Upstate NY has the finger lakes. In philly, they have the give you the finger lakes.
I wonder if you can still smell the Cheerios out on Lake Erie, when the snow is coming down hard?
Sounds like something my older brother would ask me when I was 6.
Guess we can't take a family vacation there - the dog and baby would jump right in hoping for Cheerios.
Cheerios plant is at extreme left. This picture was taken on a warm spring day May 2010 day on Erie, at Buffalo. The Micropterus dolomieu was about 5.5 lbs.
Not all of Erie smells good. The rock jetties just offshore, for example. If you get too close, the sea gulls rise up en-masse and dive bomb you.
What did you catch that on?

-27F at 7:30 a.m. here in Crested Butte. Whether the car will start is a bit of a toss up. And if it snows, will DCA be open? Ah, winter travel...
Otherwise you could stay and enjoy the Butte's Crest.
