I'm one LAC member (charter member at that) who sticks around and takes the whipping along with the LACtose intolerant.

You know you aren't really one of them though.

My theory: Acta put Hanrahan in the 10th on purpose because he knew he would lose it so that he wouldn't have to waste his other pitchers because it is obvious that the offense was not going to score in extra innings.

I don't know that I buy that. He's just an easy target.
Rizzo is to blame too but Acta loves those two. Always has. He will defend Joel until the day he dies.

Well another day...another crappy performance by Hanrahan. I miss the days of seeing Chad Cordero earn every bit of his pay by getting a save.

I'm definitely not buying that one.

I'm definitely a Lerners Are Cheap proponent though. Didn't my sig cause the label?

Joel's career ERA and WHIP are bad, but this year they are even worse. He entered this game with an ERA of 6.66 and a WHIP of 1.89. That's putrid even for scrub pitcher used for mop up duty. Now he's even worse. What the freak is he doing holding onto a closer role when guys like Villone and Bergmann have been solid?

His WHIP has to be 2 after tonight. And Wright let him off the hook on one run.
