I don't understand why Mackowiak is starting tonight though unless they're giving him a shot to prove his worth before making the next move when Young is ready.

I sense a trade shortly.

He hit well the last game he started. I'm sure they're trying to decide who should get sent down/released.

Mets announcer:

"Ryan Zimmerman would surely benefit from some help from the rest of the lineup.  If Nick Johnson were to get going offensively, that would surely benefit Zimmerman..."

Stupid Lenny.  If RZ isn't standing so close to the plate and trying so hard to go the other way, he might've pulled that second foul ball down the line for a double.  Instead, the pitch is right off his wrists and fouled off into the seats.

Close but the ump has given him the benefit of the doubt on other pitches.

Zimmerman's gonna crack a hanger here.
Or maybe he'll just hang some crack instead... strikes out.

Do they only have the pitchtrax feature for home games?

I can't give the Nats my attention for the full three hours again. I think I'll do the every other inning thing. :D

Right now the only thing that may benefit Zimmerman is a stint in Columbus.

Hanley and Hermida both homered in the first off of Harang.  Those guys just never stop hitting.  :(

You can switch back and forth with ESPN.  Livan Hernandez is pitching for Minnesota against the ESPN Red Sox.  Apparently ALL baseball games to be televised for the rest of the season will feature the Red Sox as one of the teams.
