Chief, for this lack of faith alone SF should be banned for the rest of the series.
it was looking grim. I applaud the offense for showing some heart and busting this thing open.

Willingham proved me wrong too. I dogged him a lot early in the season when he was stinking it up but he just needed to get regular ABs to start smoking balls.

I'll join.

I have repeatedly said, don't trade Willingham, Dunn or Johnson.

Dunn is signed for another year, Willlingham is under control and resign Johnson for two years.

...then hit the free agent market!

Josh Willingham numbers in starts by Craig Stammen
15/36 (.417), 5 HR (2 multi-homer games), 16 RBI

That is RIDICULOUS

It's funny. My local newspaper runs three entries a day called "Best of the Day," where they show the three best individual performances by baseball players. Twice this summer Craig Stammen and Josh Willingham have been featured on the same day. Willingham's locked up tomorrow's.

I strongly suggest our statheads look at Willingham's numbers in games started by Stammen.

Seconded. Or trade Johnson then re-sign him.

He has been absolutely amazing.

I keep waiting and waiting for him to fall back to earth and he keeps impressing in more ways than one. What an awesome player.

I called this the day we traded for him, just saying.

Nyjer Morgan has been huge for this team. We finally screwed over another team in a deal by getting him and Burnett for AZ's hollerback boy and Hanrahan.

Finding a second baseman should be top priority, in terms of fixing the offense. We need Guzman to start hitting again because he is signed for next year.

Getting Flores back will help. Maybe Dukes will be back up.

For getting him for Milledge should be reason enough to make Rizzo permanent GM.

yep you have called it all along.

everyone knew he didn't have power but I didn't expect him to hit like .400 like he has done with us with a lot of steals and flawless defense.

We can't depend on Guzman.  We need a SS and 2B.

AlGo and Hernandez would be in Syracuse.

This guy looks like a perfect LOOGY.

Trade for him now.

Plus we need a guy to be able to throw a 55 mph curveball.

My cousin an her husband in St Louis became good friends with Jeff Suppan when he pitched them to a World Series win.  My uncle was astounded at how much he got paid by Milwaukee.  Possibly the best milking of that Series by a mediocre player.  I called my uncle tonight and told him that Suppan was going to be SHELLED tonight, and he'll never get another contract anything like what he has now.

  :koolaid:
