We should have sent Livan back out for the 7th, first off.

2nd, we should not have used either Villone or Sosa.

Sosa has to be DFA'd after this game.  If he's not, what message does that send to the rest of the team?

i'm @ the point where i don't care about ian desmond's errors or leonard davis' strikeouts ... just call one of them up or play morse so we don't have to see gonzalez.  i've never seen a hitter go in the dumps like he has.

what do you mean?  there's others on the roster that don't belong either, it's no surprise.

You can't tell me that Horacio Ramirez is any worse. Seriously.

Love that Saul is back in business

You don't mess with the future. There's no reason why Belliard isn't the everyday starter now.

He's a bum and always has been one. I thought he was temp for when we were playing 25 games in 25 days, but he's turned into the uninvited guest that won't leave.
"The thing that wouldn't leave" starring Jorge Sosa, Austin Kearns and Ron Villone.

may as well call them up for the rest of the year.  if we're serious about becoming a good baseball team, we go after a free agent second baseman in the offseason (hudson, derosa, figgins).  in the mean time, may as well see what some of the kids can do.  we've seen all we needed to see out of AAAAlberto GonzAAAAlez.

September call ups are nearing. You'll see a lot of the guys you just mentioned.

There are precious few seminal stenches like the one Sosa just emanated.   Punishment be exacted.

Desmond is scorching hot. 3 more hits tonight. batting .346.

Elijah Dukes, first half of 2008.

but at least he redeemed himself and had 10 homers the year before.  gonzalez hasn't done crap in his career, yet we still keep throwing him out there.

AlGo grounds into a double play.  You can bet on it.

they wanted to see if he was legit or not. so you can understand why they gave him so many starts.

but I agree, now they have fully evaluated him and determined that he is a back-up option at best and there is no reason to give him that many more starts. Give Morse some starts.
