 You should add Lannan to your spellcheck dictionary to eliminate the squiggly red line

I noticed it just after I posted it.  I was hoping I could catch it before anyone else did.  :icon_mrgreen:

I figured most people will be in the JZ TJ surgery thread and I'd have the time. :-[

Hanson is going to pwn us :(

The Nats are 14-39 on the road. different team than the team we just watched dominate at home.

Go Nats! Win this one for NN  :'(

Lannan vs Hanson should be a good match-up.

Well, either Tommy Hanson ends the streak, or we're going to start running out of people who can make the Gameday thread.

It would be awesome to have to annoy people like Senators2005 or Kimnat to come make gameday threads to keep the streak alive - we'd be in 1st place by then

We have 50 games left so I think we might reach the point where we have to beg AZ and WPA to come out of retirement to start GD threads.

Here's hoping we get to Ken

I think nats2playoffs would be an awesome thread starter.

Nice to see SF has lost none of his enthusiasm for this team!

I'd offer to make one! But 1. I'm still really new here, and 2. I have no faith in my luck whatsoever :?

Although the Nats did win both games I went to at Yankee Stadium, for what it's worth :woop: :woop:

I've yet to start a GD thread as well, not sure I could be able to make a fancy one but I'd be willing to do whatever to keep the streak alive...

I like watching John pitch but the streak is bound to come to an end either tonight against Hanson or tomorrow against Lowe.

I am interested how they respond once they lose a game or two. Will they fall back into their old habits or will they start winning again?

This is the real test.

was this 8-game streak a fluke against bad teams?

or are the Nats actually really turning a corner?

we'll see, once they start playing Good Teams.

It's not like the Marlins were playing for nothing.  We did find a way to beat Johnson and Haren in that stretch.  There may be some flukieness, but they also played good baseball.  They didn't make the same mistakes they always made and just lucked into a couple of wins, they played defense and got clutch hits.  I don't think it was a fluke, I'm also not convinced they've turned the corner.  We've been playing pretty well for longer than this 8 game stretch.

yeah i have a tough time believing an 8-game win streak is a fluke ... too many good things have to happen for that kinda luck to appear ... i think it's just we were playing some good baseball.  the braves are sending out a great pitcher tonight, but we counter with one of our own.
