I actually don't think it's a given that the Colts take Luck.
Yes it is, although it would be absolutely hilarious if they didn't.

I'd also love to see him take a coaching job with the team when he does retire. I think he'd be a great LB coach.

I can tell you're a Nats fan.  :?

Now come on, you don't think he could be a good coach? I'm not talking DC or anything, but he could teach linebackers.

It was sort of a joke because so many posters here have said the same thing about Nats players at some point or another.

That was mostly Pudge if I'm not mistaken. Either way, the point remains that Fletcher should have been signed already.

It's been said about Livan Hernandez, Joey Eischen (:?), Aaron Boone, Paul LoDuca and probably others I can't recall.

Absolutely. I haven't heard much about ILB's signing. The market must be stubborn for their services and Fletcher may be asking for a lot. In a sense I can't blame him since he is valuable and this is really his last shot at a deserving payday. Teams may be reluctant to pay an aging linebacker who will be 37 this season. My brother and I were discussing this the other day and at this point the Skins should go out of their way to accommodate him. He has given us five good seasons and he is still an outstanding linebacker and is vital to our defense.

Absolutely. If nothing else, you're rewarding a good player who has performed above any expectations I had and is clearly the leader of the defense. Get it done Danny Boy.

Danny Boy doesn't appreciate his own. The other dude's girl is always prettier than his own.  :bang:

Quote
“I know they’re going to draft a franchise QB,” Grossman told ESPN 980 on Saturday night.  ”If I’m on the team, I’m gonna help out that guy get up too speed, but I’ll also be ready to play.  I’m gonna be a good soldier, and I’ll be busting my ass to help him out.”

Grossman is on this third one-year contract with the Redskins.  He started 13 games in 2011, after getting three starts during the McNabb misadventure of 2010.

“Beyond the business side of it, I love all my teammates, I love the system,” Grossman said.  ”I really want to see this thing through and see the Redskins turn this thing around.”

Say what you want about Rexy's talent or lack there of, the guy sure seems like a team player. I think he'll be OK as a back up... just so long as it stays that way.

I just don't like having the temptation for Jr to fall back on if things aren't perfect.

Why did the Redskins not sign Eric Winston.

Let's see ... good RT who can shift to LT if needed? Yes, we need that.
Understands the ZBS? Oh yea, he's been doing it since he came in the league
In his prime? Yup ... 28 years old

But thank God we got Garcon ...

Danny boy has no control- Shanny is in charge of player/personnel

 lots of people hate Livo, but he's been a large (hurr) part of the Nats for years and the guy knows how to pitch.  He doesn't have crap as far as stuff and yet is still going and still able to contribute even if as a 5th starter.  I think he could be very good teaching the kids some stuff.  The others you listed, not so much.

I hope this RGIII guy is good if the 'Skins draft him, he cost a lot.  I'd hate to see the team mired in another decade of mediocrity.

Mediocre would be an improvement.

TRJPWH was also suggested as a coach candidate at some point.

I like Livo as a pitcher. His legal issues are more funny than anything.

Nah, I have mixed feelings on him.

Also, who the hell wanted Joey Eischen as a coach? :lmao:

Some people loved Eischen for whatever reason. What's funny is that Matt LeCroy actually became a coach.

Matt Stairs I believe, as well as, a long time ago, Vinny Castilla.

Excellent recall coladar. I knew there were more that I had forgotten. Both of those were suggested as hitting coaches.  :lmao:
