Think I'll be picking up another bottle cage before the rubber hits the road this evening...
I create my own breeze after I eat chili.
Just did 20 miles from the Danger Zone to Nats Park to Georgetown and back in a little under 90 minutes of riding. Phil Wood and Velocity just gained a customer for life.
Oh yeah, totally getting the front wheel made once I get my quarterly bonus. Heres the CC hanging out by the park this morning:(Image removed from quote.)Close-up of the Velocity-Phil Wood masterpiece:(Image removed from quote.)
It's still not broken in but it's nothing but Brooks saddles for me from now on.
Does that say "Fatties Fit Fine"?
And for the love of all that is good and holy... lock that wheel up tight.
Go ahead and give it a spin since bike frames are, to say the least, not standard due to differences in geometries. I'm 6'3" and have found that I fit comfortably on 56cm, 60cm, 55cm, 61cm, and 59cm frames some by the same manufacturers. You'll know it's too big the second you try to straddle the top tube.
Just got back from a test ride. It's big, though not as bad as I thought it'd be, but when I'm on the bike, it's fine. They are going to put it on Craigslist if I don't take it and would ask 800 for it but it sounds like they'd sell it to me for $600. I think it would be tough to find anything at that price for this quality.
No, I don't expect it to be my main mode of transport, though it will be used some for that. Lincoln has a really nice system of paved trails through town so the plan will be to do more for fitness riding.
It's a little tight.
Maybe I'll do this. I'll stick to my original budget of $400 and tell them to try and get their $800 on craigslist. If they can, great, if not, well, there you go.
