one gripe I have with Chico is throwing meat fastballs.. Against a team like Detroit he has to throw more off speed pitches.  He has rarely even thrown his curve ball

We need runs!

We need runs, in this game, specifically but, in general, we don't score enough runs at home.

Yup.  We are last in the Majors in runs scored by a large margin, and yet when you watch them play on the road, you can't imagine how that could be.

Then they come home, and you go "oh, that's why."

Is there any such stat as outs per pitch?  Cuz if so, I'm sure we've got to have some league-leaders on our club.

:hang: double by Maroth.  5 innings in a row with the lead-off man on base.

Maybe this team really does need to stay in hotels when they're at home.  I don't know why they're so fundamentally unsound at home.

Something is different about their approach to playing at home than it is on the road.  It makes no sense.

what a disaster.. this was a winnable game against a mediocre pitcher and we completely blew it.

5-1.. now it's really over.  That's what happened when you can't get the pitcher out, can't catch pops up.

Chico can't keep the ball out of the freaking dirt.  This is how he looked earlier in the season; no ability to throw strikes.  good god this is terrible

Chico needs to come out - he's completly lost his confidence - here comes Winston ... could get REALLY interesting now ...
