Though I think I would have been incredibly confused if I hadn't read the series. But for fans of the book it's a nice movie.
But this is coming from someone who went to watch Tinker Taylor Soldier Spy and came out completely confused after only picking up one or two of the character's names.
It was pretty clear to me but I'm sure the book(s) would add a lot more detail. The idea is nuts and crazy but it was still interesting and cool. Like the opening scene of the games was pretty crazy.
