I do love the sportsmanship from the guy who was called safe:

He couldn't believe he was safe.

Morse sucked too but he got a walk there. If he struck out with bases loaded then I would be all over him.

Yeah but I just don't understand why everyone acts like they EXPECT Nieves to come up big every time.  The fact that we're relying on him to provide desperately needed runs tells me that the rage should be directed elsewhere.

Seven runners on base in the last two innings and we've scored nothing.

I agree.  We SHOULD be able to survive with him hitting the way he hits.

Mike Morse is so valuable to this team.

At least Maxwell draws walks and plays great D.
Nieves plays because there is no one else.

Morse is worthless.

True. This whole offense is going back to its sporadic ways. Kick ass one night, suck another night.

LOL

Was I the only one who thought "what's the deal with the stache" when they went to a close up of him after the blown call"?  I mean, you are just inviting mockery walking around with that thing.

WTF is wrong with a walk? How is that a problem?

It's like somebody put a performance cap on our runs scored. We used up 60% of our run support the first game of this series so we might lose the rest of the games this series.

Eckstein's homework should be teaching how to avoid strikeouts to non-strikeout pitchers.

Gork is my least favorite player on the team, followed by Nieves and Gonzalez.

If Flores ever comes back you can add him to that list.

I just realized what this team is playing like, a team that's been on the road for 9 games.

I just don't understand how you don't pinch hit for Nieves when you have two men on.

I know the bench was left hand heavy... but Al-Go would have at least most likely made contact on the pitch.

But who would you go to, the way this offense is hitting?  I wouldn't trust anybody to get a hit in that spot, including Gonzalez.

And it's 9 consecutive days (10 tomorrow).  They've had no days off.
