I thought it was funny that Jeff Brantley made a comment about Dukes size.  Everytime Elijah
comes back from the DL (4 times 1 year) he seems to look a little smaller to me.

Is that what he said or is that what you're saying?

Must have forgotten his roid injections in his locker...

nah, I really thought the bats would show up today against this crap hole pitcher. I guessed wrong. We are terrible. doesn't matter who they face. The trip to TB and NY upcoming is going to be gruesome.

I don't see anything wrong with Strasburg taking a little breather while his agent negotiates a deal for him.

thank god Kearns will be gone soon.

Quote
"It's taking [Kearns] a little longer [to get out of the slump]," Acta said. "Now that we don't have Jesus Flores in our lineup, the bottom part of it has suffered without him. We need [Kearns] to step up. We are going to see what he is going to do in the Interleague series, because it will give us an opportunity to have an extra hitter there. Then after that, we have to make a decision [on Kearns]."

Kearns' slump comes at a bad time for the Nationals. They are looking to deal him before the July 31 non-waiver Trade Deadline, but opposing teams don't have serious interest in him. Kearns has a $10 million option for 2010, but the Nationals are not expected to pick it up.

bad pitch. why did he throw another change-up? Where's the sinking fastball? I freaking hate when our pitchers get beat by their secondary stuff that is left up in the zone.

that's what you get for giving up a lead-off HBP and a walk.

me too. Jesus, Dibble has been trashing him for weeks now.

No one is putting him in the hall of fame but it is quite clear he is a franchise-changing pitcher that can do great things for the Nats in the very near future.

He's not trashing him. He is saying that he is getting too much praise for having done nothing at this level. He is concerned with what we have at the MLB level now. Once he is ready for the majors then he will matter. Right now he just needs to sign and get to work, after his brief break.

I did catch some of that but he's right though. Strasburg hasn't done crap at this level and the hype about him is nauseating. Some on here have been hailing him as the savior for over a year.  :spaz:

WTF does this crap have to do with baseball!
