For those going tonight: Yahoo! Weather says 'Variably cloudy with scattered thunderstorms. A few storms may be severe early. Low 69F. Winds SE at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 50%'.

Capital Weather Gang on washingtonpost.com was predicting 60% chance tonight.

This game will be played. We may have a shower during the game but it should be well enough to get it in.

I don't see how this one is anything but another loss.

Harang is 1-4 with a 5.35 ERA on the road this year but I'm sure they will roll over for him.

Storen signed for under 2 million. Rizzo has been infected with Kasten's snakeoil. He is lying his ass off.

what did he say?

Storen seems like the perfect fit for us. I couldn't be any happier.

Our 9 hitter is better than our 7 and 8 hitters combined... I hate seeing Bard in there.

Of course you couldn't be any happier. You're a limpet for every young player we have.

Rizzo said it had nothing to do with strategy or signability. That he was "next on the Nats' list". Storen said he's always been a Nationals fan.  :?  But I guess they always lie about that sort of thing. Curious thing is that Storen's family has been friends with Ray Knight for 35 years. Another small world story.

I don't know about that but this seems like a match made in heaven. He seems thrilled to be here and obviously we are happy to have him.

Hmm Willingham's first career start at RF.  I thought they were opposed to "moving him out of position."  I guess they realized that Kearns' glove wasn't enough to keep him in the lineup.

It should be a fun filled night watching Willingham/Dunn in RF/LF.

per what they said the other day we will be looking at a Dunn-Dukes-Willingham OF for the foreseeable future. Kearns is out of the equation.

I do. he owns righties and their lineup is stacked with them. RH batters are hitting .176/.232/.323 against Martis.

He just can't get lefties out. LH batters are hitting .324/.404/.525 off of him.

not to mention this is the REDS' lineup. they'd be nowhere w/o their pitching.

Good start to the game.  I enjoyed the 1-2-3 innings Detwiler was able to produce last night and hope that Martis can do it throughout the game.
