Our village idiot Acta better let Zimmermann continue this game.
seriously. he's a little over 90 pitches. if he gets into trouble next inning pull him.

zimmernam goes by zim though.

what an outstanding job by jordan zimmermann today.  he showed he can pitch on the road against a good line-up and after getting hosed by two different umps.  the book on him is that he doesn't get rattled and luke montz has tabbed JZ as a bulldog, you can tell he can overcome adversity quickly.

Dibs: I'll take our 5 guys, err 4 out of our 5 versus their 4 other than Santana.

I wonder who the 5th Nats starter is that he doesn't like?

Ferrigno got tired of mashing, so he took a walk instead.

Hayden Penn had a 55-pitch inning, thanks in no small part to Hermida dropping 3 balls.

holy crap. they let him throw that many pitches in an inning?! you'd figure that they would take him out

Is that the record by 1 pitcher in an inning?

Jordan Zimmermann is a pleasure to watch, sometime this week I will breakdown what he offers pitch-wise and hopefully his mechanics.
