How do you know?  I also opened up your post, and saved the change.  Since then, I see you've added some text at the bottom, so I'm thinking that I first made the change while you were editing, then you saved your current version over mine, else the edits would not be there anymore.

Therefore, I claim victory!

I suppose. Interesting to see that many in the top 10, also interested in seeing the percieved gap to Norris.

I have noticed a definite trend recently of ranking Heyward ahead of Strasburg.  I wonder if this is a subconcious backlash against Stras's excessive hype.

[Indians homer hat on] Santana is the best catching prospect to come down the pipe in a long time. [/Indians homer hat off]

I wonder if it has to do with his ability to remain a catcher

The Rays have 4 guys in the top 35 yet we have 1. You'd think after sucking for so long we'd have at least 5-6 top 100 guys with like 3-4 in the top 50. Even the rangers have 4 in the top 50...is this list accurate?

Our Latin American operations are not exactly up to par - that hurts

There are quite a few Nationals in the ProjectProspect.com top 100:

4 Stephen Strasburg RHP May emerge as No. 1 as soon as '10; painful mechanics will likely lead to injury

31 Derek Norris C/DH Extemely patient power hitter but he will stike out; not a good bet to stick at C

63 Ian Desmond SS Bat could be solid at SS; inconsistent D but good range/arm; he has good speed

68 Danny Espinosa SS Streaky hitter has cannon of an arm and a good amount of patience; avg. speed

91 Chris Marrero 1B Promoted to AA after over 1,000 A+ PA; solid skill set and young for high minors

Wouldn't seeing a ranking of 63 for Desmond kind of kill any credibility the site had?

We're not talking about top prospects of the NL East, or just the NL.

We're talking all of baseball.

Yet the kid is being talked about as a utility man already? That doesn't seem like the 63rd best prospect to me.

VERY interesting to me, being here in Houston, that Derek Norris is ranked slightly ahead of Jason Castro. Astros people think Castro is a future superstar, and more than that, Castro is about 5 times as good as ANY other position playing prospect in the Houston system. So imagine a farm system with maybe Derek Norris, Jeff Mandel and a whole freaking ton of Matt Chicos and .250 hitting infielders, and that is the entire Astros system. They're really in trouble.

Probably a little too early to tell with most of last year's draft class other than SS.
