It would be really great if they could pull this one out somehow.

As I said yesterday... a series win, on the road, in the division and the first series out of the break would be huge.

I just don't see Stammen winning a day game in Miami. I hope I am wrong. Also, Nieves.

Maybe it'll be like Brian Bannister.

He won't be the winning pitcher, but we will win the game anyway.

Yeah Nieves in the line-up; our best offensive guys aren't out there.

I can never be called out for trying to "select" games.

Flip Kennedy and Bernadina and you have a pretty solid lineup. You can't run your A team out there every day.

You're crapting me. If you're stealing in the first inning, Nyjer, get your ass to the bag early enough to make it atleast close. Pathetic.

You would think a guy that fast would at least make a basic steal attempt look somewhat close.

Again, though, are there even 500 fans at this game? I haven't seen an angle yet that shows many fans.

And those two at-bats are why Stammen is so maddening.

Gets a K with the first at-bat, then walks the next hitter on four pitches.

I used to have a desktop background that was a photo taken from inside the stadium while the Marlins were playing.

You could count the fans, it was under 200.

I kid you not.

Sunday vs Nats, they'll announce 10,000, but butts in seats probably half that.

I was at that game, in a yellow shirt near Nats (3B) dugout most of the game, then moved behind plate.  I think that one had something like 218 at the noon start.  I think it was a makeup game one of a DH.

Strike zone is definitely tight.  It's 87, but really humid (72%).  I expect the strike zone to enlarge as the heat gets to the HP ump, some rookie.

I figured as much. Assumed it was like 110 degrees that day as it was a day game.
