Patterson's great, but the way he swings I can't imagine anything he hits going beyond the infield

Alright gentlemen, I've got a poker game to attend.  Keep the good karma going while I'm gone and let's help our boys win this game ;)

He's no Livan, that's for sure.

Didn't Livo hit a home run in RFK earlier this season?  Or am I hallucinating that?

Yeah Livo hit a homer at RFK.  Scheid hit one too, in the same inning.  First time I can ever remember a battery (pitcher/catcher) hitting homers in the same inning on the same team .......

Beautiful strikeout there by Patterson.  From 3-1 to the K.  That makes 8 for him.

edit: And he strikes out the side!  9 Ks for Patterson.  Go Johnny go!

Man, Nick is just so clutch.  We may all have pissed and moaned about him being out for so long with only a "deep bone bruise," but you know what?  He's the only one who's come back to us in the same form he left us.  Heck, maybe better.

Whoever that home plate umpire is is giving them that outside plate.  Almost everyone of those pitches that's been called strikes have looked outside.

...and that first Patterson pitch that he just threw was a strike but he called it a ball.

When they're as bad as he's been calling them it's not  that difficult.

What's Pattersons strike out record so far? Looking good with double digits!
