This is a Frankism.  Traber at bat with 2 men on, 1 out.  After looking well done, fried.

Who was this 2nd man on?

Frank Fails again.. Watch, traber probably won't even come out, and if he does, he is going to give it up

The best you can realistically hope from Traber is one more inning.

Somebody explain something to me.  ESPN is airing Monday Night Football.  The New Orleans Saints are playing in Shreveport, Louisiana.  It is 95 degrees and the heat index is 100 degrees.  The Saints cheerleaders are ALL WEARING LONG PANTS!!!!  Did they donate their shorts or skirts to the people of New Orleans?  They've got to be sweltering, jumping all around in that heat.  It looks like that stadium is packed, sold out - it had been really empty during the regular 2005 season.  (They are playing the Cowboys...but it's a PRESEASON game!)  I don't get it...I don't get it.....

If the bullpen had come in and given up the run you would be blaming FR for taking traber out...

Based on the way Traber pitched in the last inning, this was foreseeable by everybody except one person.

Come on man, Traber should not be out there.  He  has zero location right now! F*CK FRANK ROBINSON!! THERE GOES THE GAME!!!  TRABER SHOULD HAVE BEEN TAKEN OUT FOR A PINCH HITTER WHO COULD HIT A FLY BALL. AND THEN PUT IN RAUCH. BS

but he wasn't wild this inning....he threw a couple pitches that were too good and got clobbered....which is the frustrating thing about this team...all pitchers make mistakes and miss their spots at times during the game...but the nationals rarely make pitchers pay for their mistakes...that was the case last year and it's the case again this year

i agree he should've been taken out for a pinch hitter but perhaps he told the skipper that he felt good and had something left

There is a natural place for where a pitcher's game should end.  Add to that the fact that the pitcher spot was due up with a runner in scoring position.

This was truly a no-brainer.

Traber clearly used all he had left in the tank in the 6th.  And if we had pinch hit for him and the pinch hitter simply made contact, the score would have been 2-0.  And think we could have brought in Rauch.  If Rauch gave it up, than so be it.  But, Traber pitched a hell of a game and frank ruined it by leaving him out to dry and now Traber's confidence is shot.
