Went to see "The Intern" today.    De Niro is De Niro.    The only reason to see it.

I thought the home invasion scene was hilarious. The rest was just there.

Pretty much.   :)    I'm a De Niro fan (later than most) and I enjoy his interaction with all the other characters.

Tried to figure who the woman was putin' the moves on De Niro's character.   It was Linda Lavin.

Wanted to see that the other day.   Missus wanted to see some sci-fi thing.   We compromised on "The Intern".     "Bridge of Spies" is definitely on my "to see" list.

Creed was terrific-I'm not a boxing fan but loved the first Rocky movie and this one sort of captured that spirit, the fight scenes were appropriately tense but the story itself was just very sweet and moving, loved it.

Watch Rocky Balboa if you haven't already.

I haven't, I assumed it was going to be lame for some reason but it's good I take it?  I'll have to check it out, thanks.

Missus and I usually hit the movies on Tuesday afternoons.    She doesn't want to go today (miserable weather, etc.).     It's a solo trip for "Bridge of Spies".     Boom.

"Concussion" is popping up on my radar.

saw peanuts with my five year old. It was nostalgia for me, and she liked it. I don't see it going over well with older kids though- most of the jokes are references to either peanuts' strips or specials.

"Bridge of Spies"  ...   As much as things change, they remain the same on a lot of levels.

Being of a certain age (:old:), you'll remember the context and the story.   If you're young, there are lessons to learn about what's happening today.

That's Doomsday, the character that killed Superman in the comics.

Totally not needed for this movie.

"Chiraq" is a parody right?  I mean, this movie can't be for real. What a piece of sheeit. Also, does anyone else think John Cusacks face could stop a bullet?

It's supposed to be a modern retelling of the Greek play Lysistrata.

Spike hasn't had a hit in quite a while. Inside Man or 25th Hour.

Because he wasn't involved in the film's creation, there has been speculation in the Star Wars fan community about whether Lucas would publicly endorse Force Awakens, the first in a planned once-a-year series of Star Wars sequels and spinoffs from Disney and Lucasfilm.

I think they're going for Marvel-level saturation. Aren't there like 4 standalone movies based on individual characters in the works?

watched about 1/4 of the new Vacation movie on a flight last night before the DirecTV system on United crapped out.  Obviously it's nowhere near as good as the first, but I was laughing pretty hard.  They did have a great line in the beginning after Rusty proposed going to WallyWorld, his wife responded by saying "are we going to just copy your vacation" and he replied with something along the lines of "no, this will be different, well some things will be the same, but this is different" - kind of a nice breaking of the 4th wall.
