You see, what Ray King just did is another reason why I think having a $36 million payroll is a really bad idea.  What exactly is Ray King going to get from playing hard and keeping his mind in the game?  If the FO doesn't care enough to spend the money necessary to field a competitive team, why should a veteran player, not in the future plans of the team?
