That was when he was with Oakland, pitchers typically fare better in the NL.

What about Marquis and Braun?

Kevin Youkilis is so nice that he's become self conscious about it and thus has to act like a prick in order not to unfairly exploit his niceness.

That very well may be - but has he aknowledged that the last pitch to him last night was actualy a strike ?

We're going with a more traditional NL lineup tonight - a couple guys who can't hit (Ankiel and lefty Espinosa) or mostly only hit singles (Lombo).

Maybe we can small ball our way into a win if Gio can shut down the Boston bats.

DiceK uses his right hand to pitch.

Then WHY is Espinosa playing.  He's an automatic out, although I expect Dice-K to reek.

I know that but matchups are so dumb when the other players are terrible.

To be accurate on a nightly basis, he needs at least one more K in his name, and it might need to be a backwards one too.

What's his middle name, Kenny?

I want it to be Frank.

Per Slowes: Marlon Byrd, well-travelled former Nat most recently at Boston, has been designated for assignment.

Because Davey likes him.  He's probably also the 2nd best defensive player in the team behind Zim.

Need to light up Matsusaka early and often and get to their pen that Bobby taxed needlessly last night.

MASN, NESN and pitch F/X all showed it as a strike as well.  Youk was wrong.

Once again proof that the computer should be calling balls and strikes.  The ump made the right call and still affected the game when he was forced to toss Youk.
