Getting Rendon, Meyer and Goodwin makes it hard for me to see this draft as a failure no matter what. However, signing Purke is the difference between a good draft and a ridiculous draft.
IMO, signing 3/4 makes this draft a success. Any less than that, though, and I won't be happy. They got a haul, but if they can't come through they wasted letting Dunn go- a compensation pick just isn't as good, you have no leverage.
That said, I'm confident they'll sign the first three at least- Purke is defintely the wildcard. Personally, I support shelling out the money for Purke- it won't impact the owner's wallet, and it's worth the risk as much as anyone else.
