That could have been the worst at bat of the season by a National.  What on earth is he swinging at a 2-0 pitch after Zambrano justr walked Shark. STUPID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Flores sucks so much. Why he's been starting over Solano is beyond me.

I mean. I'd have taken a strike 2-0. Make him prove he can throw one.

Not really, Solano hasn't looked too sharp defensively and I think we all know by now not to trust small-sample offensive numbers.

A base hit there would have been huge. It seems like every time he comes up with runners on in a big spot he strikes out or hits into a DP. Killing us

Exactly.  You don't give them strikes until they can prove they can throw them.

solano hasn't done crap either though as of late.  there's a reason we were in the market for a catcher when ramos went down and i still think they are.

no chance you get to the playoffs with solano and flores as your catchers.

Inexcusable. He knows he hasn't been hitting for crap lately. He should have taken that 2-0 pitch without hesitating. He would have had a 3-0 count and then should have taken 2 more pitches before swinging.

If they had tied it there, yes, but they didn't so that's that.

I hope they leave Zambrano in for another inning so he can continue his melt down (without us bailing him out AGAIN)...

Ozzie would have to be an idiot to do that, so yeah, he probably will.

Hanley swung at ball 3.  He must have been watching our hitters :)

When you all bash Ozzie for making a big deal out of nothing.. and then whine about Hanley looking at a HR.. just dumb.

I gotta be honest, I never get all the nagging about DPs.  That was a really hard hit ball and close to a 2-RBI single.  And in fact, generally, harder hit balls are more likely to be DPs because then the ball gets over to first faster.  Just saying...

That said I wish Flores had at least been a little more than halfway dwon the line by the time the throw got to first.

Jesus Flores - John Lannan is not pleased.
