I've got a feeling Perez is going to get rocked tonight.  We have no chance in this game unless 3 or 4 hitters really step up.
ditto

Perez stinks. He gave up several hard hit smashes that inning. Very lucky we aren't down 2-3 runs out of the gate.

Perez is a lucky bastard.  Hairston and Adrian Gonzalez's shots could have easily been doubles, and Iguchi was picked off.

Lo Duca really is kinda good on the Mic. perhaps he really does have a future in baseball commentary whenever he decides to retire.

Funny thing is our 'ace' was a guy that no one wanted and was a back of the rotation guy on the Royals[no disrespect to the Royals]

Ace? We have an Ace?

Dmitri's .194 average out of the clean-up spot is just not getting it done.

When Zimm comes back, Boone should go to first, no doubt about it.

Must be interesting for Paul to be seeing somebody throw somebody out at second.

Lo Duca made plenty of self-deprecating remarks when he did the color when Lannnan last pitched.  The Nats Xtra team is normally at the MASN studio in BALTIMORE, so they brought Ray Knight for the next game.  They couldn't really do that tonight.

Lo Duca was outstanding calling the last game.  Notice how he complimented the runner who got thrown out at 2nd.  PLD knows he's at the end of his career, so he seems to have a real appreciation for the game itself and everyone playing it.  He really has a future in broadcasting.

You know, watching this game and hearing LoDuca talk makes me think: This is actually a circumstance where Paul could actually be useful for a change - being from the Dodgers, he would know what pitches to select for our guys to throw to these guys.  Too bad...oh well.

That's a pretty bad indicator of who is an "ace."

As mediocre of years that they were having, we really miss Nick and Kearns.
