I wouldn't put him in as catcher just on the basis all of our catchers have been hurt.  Who needs the most exciting player in baseball on the DL?

They're considered swag tools now a day, just like arm sleeves and evoshield wristbands. None of that crap actually works haha trust me I wore all of it my senior year.

Btw girl I talk to ran into Harper at my local Chipotle this morning

Where was that Chipotle?

Apparently he was doing something for charity with kids, and I live in Fairfax Station, VA which is about 15 minutes away from the Burke Chipotle he was at.

Reading to a third grade class?

(Image removed from quote.)

It's funny because he's reading to former classmates!

harper is closer in age to those 3rd graders than he is to most of the forum.

For all the Worry Warts about Harper leaving for NY check this quote out:

Quote
“I just try to come out here and play my game. Trout’s in the other league. I’m trying to play my game. He’s playing his game. Who knows? Maybe we’ll play together one day. Maybe he’ll come to DC.”

Harper smiles.

“I don’t want to leave here, I can tell you that.”

Bryce Harper's historically hot start has caught his teammates' attention, Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports writes. The 19-year-old outfielder is on track to finish the season with a historically high OPS for someone so young. Harper, who knows fellow top prospect Mike Trout personally, says he'd enjoy playing with Trout -- as long as it's with the Nationals. “I don’t want to leave here, I can tell you that,” Harper said.

Sounds genuine to me.  Now since he's friends with trout, I'm hoping to sign trout in FA

It'll never happen.  I'm probably not the first to make this connection - but Trout is the next Salmon.

Trot Times for June 3

by Larry Granillo, Baseball Prospectus
http://www.baseballprospectus.com/article.php?articleid=17244

Quote
Quickest Trot: Bryce Harper, Washington Nationals - 17.15 seconds
A blast into Nationals Park's second deck was not enough to slow the phenom down. His 17.15 second trot is the fourth fastest of the year. As of today, Harper is responsible for the three of the four quickest trots all season. Harper only has five home runs.

He's going to be a Yankee is seven years anyway, let's put him where he best serves us.  And if that's at catcher, I say go for it.

One day, in an extra inning game, where we are running out of bench and bullpen players, Bryce will take over as catcher... AND simultaneously... as pitcher too.  He is fast!

That's a fishy thing to say.
