Clogging the bases is one of the dumbest arguments of all time.
Yes, who cares if a slow guy gets on base... he's only clogging the bases. It's not like it hurts our chances of winning or anything!
I still think a professional baseball player should be expected to score from first base on a double and go first-to-third on a single to RF; but yes, the "clogging the basepaths" does seem a ridiculous argument. It's not like stolen bases are a huge part of the game anymore.
