It's not for everyone.  Sprite will do in a pinch.  Tough for me to down straight liquor anymore though.

Jenna should really be doing ads for them at this point.  I wonder if they ever litigated over her adopting Jameson as her last name.  She said she did it because that was her favorite drink, I think.

I like Jameson and Jameson.

I'm a firm believer that any quality spirit should be three fingers deep in a rock glass with no ice.    It should be naked to the taste buds.   I feel the same way about putting steak sauce on a filet.   It's a distraction.

Anyone have a good site to order whiskey from, or a good liquor store in the city? I need to order a bottle of aged Famous Grouse for a friend. It has to be shipped to a DC address regardless because of stupid laws.

I get my Famous Grouse from Kogod's liquors near where I work, on the southeast corner of New Jersey avenue and E street (street address 441 New Jersey Ave NW; nearest Metro Union Station). They regularly stock fifths and a larger size.

The plain label I can find; I need 12 or 15 year. Have you seen it there?

Can't recall seeing it there, off the top of my head - wouldn't be surprised if they got it in periodically (they have a surprisingly wide selection of single malts, for a corner shop of that type - they might do longer-aged blends from time to time as well).

I'd imagine colored pencils would be appropriate... Or perhaps a nice Etch-a-Sketch?

I can't read the label..."something something Centenario"

I love Costa Rican "Centenario" rum, but that's in a different bottle.  What's this shtuff?

It's much better than that (IMO). It's Flor de Caña Centenario rum from Nicaragua. I like it much better than the Dominican Brugal that so many people swear by.
