Hmm... that might be a personal record of the most times I have heard Guzman mentioned defensively in one inning without the game slipping out of reach.

Yep, 7 out of 15 pitches as balls = no close calls

i can agree with that ... as the ump you shouldn't do him any favors if it's borderline call.  still it looked good to me.  oh well we got outta of it.

Blue dots in the middle of the strike zone frighten me.

Yeah that particular pitch looked good.

Short sample size.

Baseball players in Asia are executed for walking in the game winning run, no matter what the sample size.

But he got out of the inning. Thank God.

Sometimes the only thing I like about Nieves is his salsa music. Nibbler.

You don't like that he drove in one of today's runs?

All of you are so negative.

Yeah, sorry that I think a reliever with a career BB/9 of 6.4 is not suited for meaningful situations.  The 11.2 BB/9 rate this year certainly doesn't inspire much confidence either.

He's been one of the more clutch players so far this year.

I swear that Nieves intentionally saves all his hits on 2 out RBI so that we can forget about how much he sucks behind the plate.
