I can't help it, putting the first two on is a really bad start.

I thought they said Atilano was a strike thrower?

Wow, Bernadina has an arm!

Ugh, part of the problem is that Nieves keeps calling for pitches that clearly aren't going to be called for strikes.  WTF, Wil!?

Good throw by Roger.  We need to turn two.

Where was that pitch blue?

He seems to be putting it where Nieves is asking for it, but Wil is being an idiot.

Atilano is nibbling for sure and the pitches are on him, but watching Nieves catch the day after Pudge, it is obvious how different the two catchers game calling skills are.  It seems like Nieves has the pitchers nibble so much more, while Pudge has guys going after the hitters.

Exactly.  I'm glad someone else notices this.

The problem is that it's clear the ump isn't going to call anything down and away, but Nieves keeps going way over there.

Yup.  It seems like Pudge got the message when he came to DC - Riggleman is going to have a better defensive team.  Wil on the other hand, I guess he's seen how bad our defense has been over the years, wants our staff to nibble so they can strike batters out.

It seems to me whenever a pitcher gets in trouble, Nieves always ask for something down low.  It is like a crutch for him or something when he doesn't know what to do IMO.
