He was throwing some nasty stuff and he deserves as much credit for that as anyone.

With several assists to the ump.

Where was the long ball?

Killed by the weather. Ankiel goes yard if not for the damp air today.

That ump was trash and he got the reception he deserved. His compadre at first was a fartknocker.

Livo got his fair share too.  It was still as nasty as I've seen Lowe vs. us in a couple of years.

Our guys were doing a good job laying off Lowe's sinker that would miss just low. However he missed on several pitches that were left down the middle and we either took them or couldn't square them up.

The home umpire was really bad at times but he wasn't the reason we got shut out.

I wish we had winning players that could come up with clutch hits. Look at Heyward, crushed a homer in his first AB of the year like last season. Look at McCann and Chipper. They werent phased by pressure or the cold and already look like they are in midseason form. Why don't we have guys like that?

Well, I think we've got a couple of them in Zim and Werth, for sure and I think Espinosa will turn into one as well.  Sometimes in baseball, the other guy wins and I think that's what happened more than anything today.  Chipper and McCann don't come through all the time either.  Our pen certainly wasn't phased by the pressure today.

I missed the pregame stuff, just now watching it.  I love the Navy ceremonial band for the anthem.  Awesome.

I thought getting rid of Dunn would solve that problem.   :|

He was part of the problem but far from the entire thing. This team needs winners and proven studs. We have a punch of guys who roll over for bad pitchers.

Relaxing and watching the game on MLB.tv on my PS3.  MASN just showed Heyward as having 18 HR and 17 RBI last year.  Ummm...
